Ronald Spalter

Deputy Chief Operating Officer, City University of New York , New York , New York

For 44 years, Mr. Spalter served in various positions of increasing responsibility at several CUNY colleges culminating in 17 years as CUNY's Deputy Chief Operating Officer. Mr. Spalter is also an adjunct clinical lecturer at the Austin W Marx Graduate School of Public and International Affairs of Baruch College/CUNY.

Mr. Spalter has constructed, renovated, managed, and operated, millions of square feet of college facilities and instituted University-wide transformation efforts in energy conservation. He co-led one of Higher Educations largest information system implementations, and has been using the change management approach developed for systems adoption as an effective tool to raise consciousness about the need for campus wide attention to improving Operations and Maintenance and achieving carbon footprint reductions.

Mr. Spalter has presented at the Society for College and University Planning, AIA, NYC Building Managers Association and internationally in Austria, Turkey, and China.
