Michael Papadakis leads all financial activities and oversees a $6 billion annual budget as the chief financial officer and senior vice president of business and finance for The Ohio State University.
He oversees the Office of Financial Services, which includes Treasury Management, Risk Management, Debt Management, the Office of the University Bursar, Risk Management, as well as oversight of the university’s $100 million Economic Development Investment Pool.
Mike led the university’s team on the $1.165 billion Comprehensive Energy Management Project and $483 million campus parking concession. Some of his other accomplishments at Ohio State include the issuance of the university’s century bonds, issuance of subordinated housing bonds, corporate “shelf-like” registration and initial $600 million financing, and completion of a 20-year wind power purchase agreement. He also was involved in the university’s affinity agreement with Huntington Bank and contract extension with NIKE.
