Michael McKee is the Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at the University of Florida – a comprehensive research and land-grant university. Appointed to the role in June 2014, he is the second person to hold the post since the office was created in 2008. Mr. McKee re-joined UF in 2002 and served as Assistant Vice President and University Controller from July 2003 to 2014. His previous positions include: Chief Financial Officer at the St. Johns River Water Management District, Assistant Controller at UF and as a State Legislative Auditor.
Currently Mr. McKee serves on a wide range of boards including the Boards of the University of Florida Foundation, UF Research Foundation, UF Health (Hospital), UF Investment Corporation, the medical physicians practice plans in Gainesville and Jacksonville, and the GatorCare Health Corp.
Mr. McKee earned his B.S. degree in Business Administration from the University of Florida. He is a Certified Public Accountant and a Certified Government Financial Manager; a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and the National Association of College and University Business Officers. He currently serves as Chair of the Council for Administrative and Financial Affairs (State of Florida University CFOs). He and his wife, Becky, have two daughters and one granddaughter.
