As Senior Vice President, CFO and Treasurer, Marty is responsible for the University’s finance and treasury functions, which include accounting, financial systems and reporting, asset and liability management, post-award research administration, risk management, procurement, and internal audit. Marty has also served as an adjunct faculty member in the areas of accounting, finance and investments.

Marty is current Vice Chairman of the board of the Boston Consortium for Higher Education and Commissioner of the New England Commission of Higher Education. He began his career with the public accounting firm of Peat Marwick Mitchell and Co. after receiving his MBA from Northeastern University and B.A magna cum laude from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. In addition, he has earned and maintains the professional designations of Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA,) and Certified Financial Planner (CFP).
