Dawn Riddle, M.S., has 20 years of experience in program management, policy, education, and grant administration and is passionate about working in higher education to enhance quality programming by minimizing risk for minors engaged in university sponsored programs. Joining Vanderbilt University in 2013 as the Protection of Minors Director, she oversees policy administration and process, including an online program registration and compliance application which tracks over 250 programs. Dawn has created internal child protection training reaching more than 17,000 learners, and advises departmental, research and student programs on statutory reporting requirements and implementation strategies for safe practices in minor protection. Her professional memberships include the University Risk Managers and Insurance Association (URMIA) and she serves on the Board of Directors for the Higher Education Protection Network. She has presented nationally on youth protection in higher education and co-authored an article in the American Camping Association Camping magazine titled, “Camps on Campus – Safeguarding Youth Programming in Higher Education Settings.”
