Tammy Anthony, MA, is the Assistant Vice President for The Office of Budget and Financial Planning at The University of Texas at San Antonio. Tammy has served the financial needs of the university since June of 2014, when she was hired as Assistant Director of Budget Planning and Development. Since 2017, Tammy has assisted a task force established by UTSA President Eighmy with the planning for and recommendation of a new university budget model. The team selected a model based on a hybrid of responsibility-centered management. The transition year for implementing the budget is FY 2020. Tammy and her team are helping to develop revenue allocation and to adjust business processes to support this new model. They are also collaborating with the UT Shared Services team and the UTSA Business Information Services team to develop tools to support the distributed responsibilities on which this type of budget model depends.
Tammy earned Bachelor and Master of Accountancy degrees from New Mexico State University. Starting her career as an accountant there in 1987, she later served as Director of Gift Accounting/Comptroller, Director of Accounting and Financial Reporting, Budget Director, Director of Auxiliary Operations, and finally Assistant Vice President of Auxiliary Services.
She has been a member of Texas Association of State Senior College & University Business Officers (TASSCUBO), National Association of College Auxiliary Services (NACAS), National Council of University Research Administrators (NCURA), and National Association of College and University Business Officers (NACUBO).
