Melissa Hopp is the Vice President of Administrative Services at the Community College of Baltimore County. CCBC, with three campuses in Catonsville, Dundalk and Essex and three centers in Hunt Valley, Owings Mills and Randallstown, is one of Maryland’s largest community colleges serving over 60,000 students each year in both credit and non-credit programming. In her role at CCBC, Ms. Hopp serves as the Chief Financial Officer and supervises college-wide facilities management and construction; information technology, human resources, public safety, institutional research and campus operations.

Ms. Hopp has been a community college senior executive for over thirty years including thirteen years as the Vice President for Administrative Services at Camden County College, a three campus district in southern New Jersey. In addition, Ms Hopp served as the Vice President for Administrative Services at Lincoln Land Community College in Springfield, Illinois for over nine years.

Ms. Hopp is active in many state and regional professional organizations. She has served in various leadership roles, including Board member, for the Eastern Association of College and University Business Officials. In FY2017, she led the Maryland Association of Community Colleges Business Officers; served two terms as chair of the New Jersey County College Business Officers Association and one term as the chair of the Illinois Community College Chief Financial Officers. In 2000, she received the New Jersey Council of County College’s Spirit award for her efforts in founding a statewide purchasing consortium and a statewide virtual community college that shares on-line courses between institutions.

Ms. Hopp holds a BA in history and sociology from Grinnell College in Grinnell, Iowa and a Masters in Public Policy (MPP) from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor.
