Dr. Laura D'Andrea Tyson
Economist

Laura D'Andrea Tyson is the S.K. and Angela Chan Professor of Global Management at the Haas School of Business, at the University of California Berkeley. She was the first female Dean of the London Business School from 2002-2006, and served as Dean of the Haas School of Business, University of California at Berkeley from 1998-2001.

Dr. Tyson is a member of the President Barack Obama's Economic Recovery Advisory Board (PERAB). She served in the Clinton Administration as the First Female Chair of the White House Council of Economic Advisors from 1993 to 1995. She was the President's National Economic Adviser between 1995 and 1996.

Lisa Ling
Journalist

Ling got her start in journalism as a correspondent for Channel One News where she covered the civil war in Afghanistan at 21 years of age. She later went to become a co-host of ABC Daytime's hit show The View, which won its first daytime Emmy during her time at the show. In 2010, Ling will have her own series on the new channel, OWN: the Oprah Winfrey Network. She is a special correspondent for CNN's Planet in Peril series and contributing editor for USA Today's USA Weekend magazine.

As the field correspondent for The Oprah Winfrey Show and former contributor to ABC News' Nightline and National Geographic's Explorer, Lisa Ling has reported from dozens of countries; covering stories about gang rape in the Congo, bride burning in India and the Lord's Resistance Army in Uganda, among other issues that are too often ignored.
