Description

Learn about a unique partnership of 18 community colleges and four universities in Ohio, a pioneer in performance-based funding. The institutions received innovation grant funding from the Ohio Department of Higher Education to address both educational and economic efficiency opportunities in a system with 100 percent performance-based funding. The grant supports the implementation of “Scheduling for Completion: Leveraging Data Analytics to Improve Efficiency and Increase Student Success.”

Learning Objectives

  • Recognize how increasing the efficiency of course scheduling helps manage costs and improve student success.
  • Draw a direct correlation between course scheduling and instructional spending.
  • Develop a framework by which to measure course scheduling efficiency and effectiveness and a peer database to contextualize metrics.
