Description

Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) ASU 2016-14: Presentation of Financial Statements of Not-for-Profit Entities (NFPs) intends to simplify how NFPs classify net assets and provide improved information about liquidity, financial performance, expenses, and cash flows. The speakers will explore such new provisions as presenting two net asset classes, reporting expenses by function and nature, liquidity and availability of resources disclosures, endowment disclosures, investment return requirements, board designations, and more. They will give special attention to the possible impact of the new guidance on higher education institutions, including any related foundations.

Learning Objectives
