Description

With increased regulatory compliance obligations impacting a variety of offices and business units across a campus, campus administrators and senior leadership can become easily overwhelmed and lose sight of the ultimate goal: risk reduction through compliance. Learn how one institution transitioned from a decentralized compliance program to a centralized office managing a campus-wide compliance network. The presenters will discuss how to incorporate members of the campus community into compliance efforts and, in doing so, begin to change a campus culture. They will also explain how institutions can supplement out-of-the-box training programs with customized, employee-centered, and in-person trainings; one-on-one engagement; and multiple types of contact, including in-person, online, passive, group, video, and written materials. Finally, the presenters will illustrate how institutions can discuss the values unique to their campus in employee training and take advantage of their campus culture to enhance employee engagement.
