Description

New technologies, shifts in student, faculty, and staff expectations, globalization, and other factors are changing the work of higher education. Our workforce is increasingly diverse along multiple dimensions. Generation Z is moving in, Millennials are moving up, and many Boomers are moving out. These forces of change have inspired Georgia Tech to design and implement a talent strategy for the workforce of the future. In this interactive session, panelists will share Georgia Tech’s talent strategy and give you the opportunity to measure your own organization’s readiness for future employees. Participants will then engage in small group discussions around five vision elements, followed by a group discussion of approaches that institutions are taking to address the workforce of the coming years.

Learning Objectives

  • Identify the forces of change impacting the work, worker, and workplace at your institution.
  • Measure your organization’s current state against five dimensions of readiness.
  • Articulate practices and strategies your institution might use to address the changing workforce.
