Description

St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota, is a member and owner of EIIA, a risk retention group owned by approximately 145 liberal arts colleges. During this session, the panelists will examine insurance loss and claims trends over the last three years, as evidenced by EIIA’s constituent members. The discussion will involve GL and ELL claims and examine property and workers’ compensation losses. Attendees in this interactive session will participate in a case study that requires analyzing incidents, dissecting losses, and determining the best way to allocate limited campus resources, both human and financial.

Learning Objectives

  • Cite the leading loss drivers on liberal arts campuses.
  • Select risk management techniques for the specific risks identified in the discussed losses.
  • Allocate limited resources to most efficiently prepare for specific incidents.
