Description

Colleges and universities have begun to enroll “digital natives”—students who may have never set foot in a brick-and-mortar bank and cannot remember a world without Google, smartphones, and online shopping. Accustomed to on-demand, user-oriented services such as Uber, Netflix, and Amazon, these students have very high expectations. When they enroll in college, however, most will have digital experiences that fall well short of their expectations, according to Accenture’s global student survey. Meanwhile, university administrators are under enormous pressure to deliver a higher quality living/learning experience in an increasingly complex and competitive landscape. In this session, speakers will share perspectives and strategies from several institutions on their pursuit to meet student, faculty, and staff expectations for digital experience, innovation, and the campus of the future.

Learning Objectives

  • Determine whether the digital experience provided by your institution meets the expectations of students, faculty, and staff.
  • Articulate the key technologies, strategies, and mindset to effectively recruit, retain, and teach the students of the future.
  • Take ownership of innovation on your campus.
