Description

A panel of university leaders, all of whom have helped their institutions navigate change, will discuss how to build internal alliances within the cabinet, across the administrative leadership, and with the faculty to achieve large-scale transformation. Specifically, they will explain how they gathered the input needed to set strategy and goals, selected and developed a team to execute the transformation, and managed the execution to realize the outcomes. This session on collaborating across the enterprise will include an interactive question-and-answer period with the audience.

Learning Objectives

  • Appreciate the value and necessity of building a broad coalition to enact transformational change within your institution.
  • Consider the mix of individuals you may need in your coalition to enact change and how to recruit them to your vision.
  • Learn from practical examples how to leverage individuals across the institution to overcome barriers and obstacles to change.
