How do you build a culture of creativity and innovation practice that forwards the mission? It starts with recognizing there are big ideas yet to be executed on and encouraging a new set of competencies and skills. These new skills require uncovering the unseen forces that keep a team from excelling, including fear of failure, lack of candor, and unwillingness to put aside individual needs. Learn how one institution applied the Pixar model to its own mission and vision, unleashing a new level of energy across a 300-person division and generating 60 cross-functional projects to impact university-wide delivery of services and programs. Ideas were incubated across Finance, Facilities, HR, IT, Communications, Performance Improvement, Data Analytics, and other departments, leading to the development of innovative proposals and solutions for everyday problems.
