Susan Palmer is currently the Vice President for Finance and Administration at the College of Saint Benedict, the highest ranked Catholic college for women in the country. She has devoted a large part of her career to Catholic higher education serving the college for over twenty-eight years in a key leadership role as a member of the President’s Cabinet and the Strategic Directions Council. In addition she oversees long-range financial planning, Human Resources, Accounting, Student Accounts, Information Technology, Facilities, Security, Investments, Student Accounts and Auxiliary Services, including Culinary Services, Bookstore, and Telecommunications.
She received her MBA from St. Cloud State University and her bachelor’s degree in accounting from Moorhead State University graduating magna cum laude.
She currently serves on the Nacubo Small Institutions Constituency Council, serves as a board member on Cacubo, and is currently chair of the Small Institutions Constituency Council for Cacubo. In addition, she has served on several accreditation committees for Middle States.
As a committed community member, she has previously served as a member and past president of Sertoma, as a board member for United Way of Central Minnesota, and board member and past president for District 742 Local Education Activities Foundation (LEAF). She is currently a board member and treasurer for the Grand Lake Area Association and is a member of the Finance Committee for the Stearns History Museum.
