Stacy Pearson (MPA, CPA) is Vice President for Finance and Administration at Washington State University. As vice president, Pearson provides visionary and strategic leadership while expertly managing a complex organization and continue to refine the relationship between campuses to leverage efficiencies and support autonomy. In this role Pearson oversees a portfolio that includes Finance, Facilities, Public Safety, Environmental Health & Safety and Risk Management, and Finance and Administration Resource Planning and Internal Affairs; over 600 full-time staff; and an annual operating budget of approximately $65 million.
Prior to joining Washington State University, Pearson was Boise State University’s Vice President for Finance and Administration. She was a member of the President’s executive leadership team and managed the financial health and planning activities for the University. Pearson served as a leader in developing opportunities and initiatives that advanced the mission of the university by strengthening the relationship between fiscal and academic policy, integrating strategic planning with fiscal decisions and providing resources for investment in improvements and new initiatives. As vice president, Pearson was responsible for the coordination of financial and administrative operations, including financial reporting, treasury, real estate, business development, budget and planning, tax and regulatory compliance, purchasing, human resource services, information technology and the Taco Bell Arena. In addition, Pearson played a key role in the State of Idaho’s higher education financial and administrative initiatives.
Pearson holds a BA in Business Administration from the University of Idaho and a Master of Public Administration from Boise State University. She is a CPA licensed in Idaho and Washington.
