Samuel Bacharach is the McKelvey-Grant Professor in the Department of Organizational Behavior at the ILR School at Cornell and co-founder of the New York City-based Bacharach Leadership Group (BLG), which specializes in training and coaching leaders and high potentials in the skills of moving agendas. BLG Agenda Mover™ programs have been implemented at universities such as Lehigh University, University of Virginia, and Cornell University. Bacharach has led trainings in this unique approach to leadership at Cisco, Mindtree, and SunGard. Bacharach is also the author of 10 popular online courses on topics such as coaching, negotiation, and organizational change that have been subscribed to by Fortune 100 companies such as Boeing, JP Morgan and Chase, Citigroup, and PepsiCo.
Over the course of his academic career, Bacharach has been the recipient of numerous federal grants, chaired the Department of Organizational Behavior, headed a number of institutes at Cornell, and is the author of over 20 books and over 100 academic articles. His most recent non-academic volume is The Agenda Mover: When Your Good Idea is Not Enough (Cornell University Press, 2016). A follow-up volume, Transforming the Clunky Organization: Leading for Discovery and Delivery, will be published in 2017. He is a regular columnist for Inc.com.
