Patrick H. Martin, V, JD, serves as Assistant Vice President for Real Estate, Public Partnerships, & Compliance for Louisiana State University. An attorney by training, Mr. Martin has been the lead negotiator for LSU's Nicholson Gateway Project, a transformational new student housing project to significantly expand LSU's on-campus housing opportunities for upperclass students. Developed and constructed under a public-private partnership model, the Nicholson Gateway Project will include over 1,900 beds, 38,000 square feet of retail space, and a satellite student recreation center. Phases 2 and 3 of the Project will replace or renovate over 2,000 beds for first year students. Prior to taking his current position, Mr. Martin served as an attorney for the LSU System since 2005, supervising a wide array of legal transactions, governing board policies, and review of major proposals submitted by individual campuses for Board approval. Mr. Martin maintains his legal roots by also serving as counsel for LSU's self-insured health plan.
