Mr. Demyanek leads the Georgia Tech Facilities Management Operations & Maintenance organization, comprised of six major divisions and 500+ employees engaged in Utilities Infrasctructure & Engineering, Building Maintenance, Energy Conservation, Landscape and Fleet Services, Building Services, and Solid Waste Management and Recycling . His teams assure that Georgia Tech's facilities, landscape and infrastructure are effectively operated and sustainably maintained. Before joining Georgia Tech in 2007, Demyanek worked for the University System of Georgia’s Board of Regents for 12 years as Assistant Vice Chancellor for Compliance and Operations. He has been with the University System of Georgia for over 28 years. He has a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Safety Science from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and a master’s degree in Technology and Science Policy from Georgia Tech.
