Kathleen Scott is the Director of Organizational Excellence at California State University, Fresno. She oversees organizational and professional development programs designed to nurture a culture of change and innovation and build organizational and individual capacities with the Fresno State community. Kathleen’s higher education career includes roles in Training and Development, Advancement, Marketing, Public Relations, Enrollment and Project Management. She worked for ten years in Community Colleges in New Jersey and Nebraska before coming to Fresno State in 2012. She also has extensive experience in fundraising, marketing and non-profit administration. Kathleen earned a BS in Marketing from Fairfield University and MBA from California State University, Fresno. She is also a graduate of the Harvard Institute for Higher Education Institute for Management and Leadership in Education. Kathleen is a certified Change Management Practitioner and Trainer, Lean/Continuous improvement practitioner and certified in integrated planning by the Society for College and University Planning. She currently serves on the board of directors for the Network for Change and Continuous Innovation (NCCI).
