Karen L. Goldstein is an independent consultant who provides financial and organizational consulting to higher education institutions across the US, assisting institutional leaders with strategic planning, financial assessment and resource development, organizational development, executive coaching and on boarding. From 2010to 2015, Dr. Goldstein served as an executive search consultant in higher education and she continues that work in addition to financial consulting. She served as Chief Financial Officer at Davidson College from 2004 to 2010 and as CFO at the University of Puget Sound from 2000 to 2004. From 1993 to 2000 she served as the CFO at two science museums, the Franklin Institute, Philadelphia, PA, and the Los Angeles County Natural History Museum. Prior to that she held several academic and administrative positions over a 27-year period at the University of Pennsylvania. She received her BA from Tufts University, her MA and PhD in French Literature from the University of Pennsylvania and her MBA from the Wharton School at Penn.
